A wildfire broke out in California's Angeles National Forest on Oct. 3 local
time and spread rapidly, prompting multiple evacuation orders and danger
warnings. The US Forest Service said the blaze was discovered at about 3:00 p.m.
and expanded quickly; by 6:55 p.m. the burned area exceeded 400 hectares.
California fire agencies said the fire remained uncontrolled and the cause was
under investigation.
