Asian currencies were rangebound against the dollar in early trade, supported by
cooling market expectations for Fed rate hikes, which can reduce the appeal of
US fixed‑income assets. ANZ research said a softer‑than‑expected US September
jobs report gives the FOMC more time to assess before further policy moves. ANZ
added senior Fed officials have signaled no need to rush and markets have
sharply trimmed odds of an October rate increase.
