Since early 2026 the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) says
Chinese market regulators have carried out 11,661 technical-assistance actions
for food sampling inspection, verification and handling. Assistance covered
8,638 food firms; 4,927 assisted firms were tracked with follow-up sampling, and
4,713 showed no further non-compliant results, an effectiveness rate of 95.66%.
SAMR said it will guide local regulators to embed technical assistance in
sampling follow-up, concentrate support on firms and regions with frequent
sampling failures, precisely diagnose causes and push process and management
fixes to promote higher-quality development of the food industry.
