Speaking at a campaign rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, Trump said higher pump
prices are a "small price" to pay for maintaining world and national security.
He claimed current oil prices are lower than under the Biden administration and
said gasoline would fall below $1.85 per gallon (≈3.8 liters) "in a very short
time," possibly before or shortly after the Nov. 3 midterm elections. He
reiterated the U.S. will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
