Vitol CEO said at an Energy Intelligence forum in London that over the past 7-10
days the Middle East exported roughly 1.2m bpd of crude and 0.2m bpd of refined
products overseas. He warned that if sea-borne exports from the region cannot be
sustained at about 10-14m bpd, low Western stocks ahead of winter could further
destabilize global energy markets, and a complete disruption of exports at that
scale could push international benchmark crude toward $200/bbl.
