AP interviewed dozens of U.S. service members who survived a drone strike on the U.S. base at Shuaybah port in southern Kuwait that followed U.S.-Israeli air strikes on Iran on March 1. Six U.S. personnel were killed and dozens wounded. Officers described chaos at the scene and said some wounded reached care only because “some people's phones still worked and they could use Google to find nearby hospitals.” The U.S. military has reportedly completed an investigation into the Shuaybah attack in June but has not released the report, citing the need to redact sensitive information; it declined to comment on AP’s latest article.
