China's railways expect to carry 24.15 million passengers today, the final day of the National Day–Mid-Autumn holiday, after return flows rose from yesterday. China Railway Beijing Group expects volumes to be up 15% YoY and plans to add 169.5 train pairs, mainly on routes to Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian and Datong. China Railway Guangzhou Group expects volumes up 20.8% YoY and plans 765 additional passenger trains, mainly on Beijing–Guangzhou, Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong, Hangzhou–Shenzhen and Jiangzhan routes.
