Several Japanese companies have reported customer data security incidents.
H.I.S. Group said on Dec. 11, 2025 its Thailand subsidiary received an alert for
unauthorized access to a server; the unit immediately disconnected the server
from the network and restricted access. A follow-up investigation found passport
data for 627 customers may have been exposed, including name, gender, birthdate,
passport number and expiry date, and allergy information. The day before,
Citizen Watch and other firms reported server intrusions with possible customer
data leaks.
