Retail gold prices at Shenzhen's Shuibei jewelry wholesale hub fell after a recent pullback in bullion. The price decline combined with National Day promotions triggered a wave of out‑of‑town buyers; a shop salesperson said 30–40 groups of nonlocal customers were brought to Shuibei daily during the holiday. Foreign visitors have risen, favouring diamond pieces and high‑grade gold. Several bangle counters sold out despite ample pre‑holiday stock; retailers are restocking, including transfers from outside the market.
