President Trump told reporters on Wednesday he could have done "very bad things"
to Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Obama but chose restraint out of
respect for the office. When asked what grounds Democrats might use to impeach
him if they win control of both chambers in November, he said he did not know
and shifted to say he had had chances to act against political opponents. He
declined to specify what actions he meant and suggested he still had the ability
to take such steps.
