Ukraine's foreign ministry spokesman said in Kyiv Ukraine is willing to join trilateral peace talks with Russia and the United States and hopes the talks can be held in October. He said Ukraine is prepared for leader-level and other-level trilateral meetings and is studying five different ceasefire mechanisms, including a comprehensive, unconditional ceasefire, a Turkey- and Egypt-proposed Black Sea ceasefire plan, an India-proposed energy-sector proposal, and a US-discussed energy-related ceasefire option.

Samsung Electronics said preliminary Q3 operating profit rose 783% YoY and 20.01% QoQ to 107.4 tln won (≈$80.17 bln), slightly above the 106.1 tln-won market consensus, driven by a surge in AI-chip demand that boosted memory-business profitability. Q3 revenue was 195 tln won, up 127% YoY and marginally below the 199 tln-won consensus. Samsung will publish full results later this month.
