Oct. 8 — China FAW, Toyota Motor and GAC Group signed a strategic cooperation framework. GAC intends to acquire the 50% stake in FAW Toyota held by China FAW via issuance of shares. If completed, FAW Toyota will continue as an independent operating entity and China FAW would become a significant strategic shareholder in GAC. FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota will jointly cover JV functions including R&D, procurement, production and sales. Transaction remains subject to completion.
