A federal judge is considering whether to extend a pause allowing reporters from
CNN, MS NOW and Politico to enter White House grounds while those outlets'
lawsuit against the Trump administration proceeds. U.S. District Judge Timothy
J. Kelly held a hearing Thursday on the media plaintiffs' request for a longer
injunction after he issued a temporary September order pausing enforcement of
the ban for two weeks to hear arguments. The outlets allege the ban violates the
First Amendment and infringes their Fifth Amendment due-process rights.
