Lan Fo'an attended the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's 11th Board of
Governors annual meeting in Doha by video; the theme was Future Infrastructure:
Impact and Innovation. Lan said this year marks the start of China’s 15th
Five-Year Plan, that the Chinese economy is broadly stable and shifting toward
higher-quality growth, and that Beijing will continue substantive policy actions
to support global development. Lan designated Assistant Finance Minister Chang
Junhong to attend in person; Chang held bilateral talks with finance officials
from Kuwait, Nepal, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Germany, Italy and Australia
on AIIB operations and bilateral financial cooperation.
