Ukraine said it struck LUKOIL’s Ukhta refinery — its fourth Russian refinery
attack this week — as the Russia-Ukraine war enters its fifth year and air
strikes escalate. President Zelenskiy said: “We will continue to respond to
Russian attacks on Ukraine and act with precision.” He confirmed the Ukhta
strike and said Ukraine on Thursday hit Russia’s largest Omsk refinery. Earlier
this week Ukrainian drones struck two Gazprom facilities: the Salavat refinery
in the Urals and the Astrakhan gas-processing plant near the Caspian. Public
data show the four facilities together account for about 720,000 b/d of crude
processing capacity and up to 12 bln cubic meters a year of gas-processing
capacity.
