According to the Financial Times, NVIDIA is in early-stage talks to acquire US
startup Reflection AI or increase its investment, people familiar with the
matter said. Reflection AI develops open-weight models. Talks could take
multiple forms, including a talent acquisition — hiring staff and licensing
technology — to avoid lengthy regulatory review. NVIDIA is already one of
Reflection’s largest shareholders and could instead deepen ties via further
equity or by supplying more chips and compute. People said a deal could be
reached within weeks. Reflection was valued at $25 bln in a March funding round.
