Today the Supreme People's Court, the People's Bank of China (PBOC), the
National Financial Regulatory Administration and the China Securities Regulatory
Commission jointly issued six model cases aimed at protecting financial
consumers' and investors' legal rights. The cases cover financial lending, fund
and wealth management, digital finance, life insurance and securities
investment, and concentrate on: strengthening disclosure obligations for
standard-form clauses; enforcing institutional responsibility for suitability
management and seller due diligence; removing technical barriers to ensure
consumers' choice of remedial procedures; and promoting coordinated governance
via multi-track substantive dispute-resolution mechanisms.
