Yongtai Energy told investors on Oct. 12 at its 2026 interim results briefing
that its first‑generation, in‑house solid cathode capacity‑enhancing material
for vanadium redox flow batteries has completed multi‑power system testing and
the company is advancing trial production, pilot runs and preparations for mass
production. The company says the material markedly lowers initial electrolyte
installation cost and widens system operating temperature range, offering cost
and efficiency gains that establish a core technology barrier for its
energy-storage business. Separately, Singapore firm Vnergy and a Southwest
Chinese chemical group have moved a joint project into the approval stage and
are seeking product certification with Singapore’s Agency for Science,
Technology and Research (A*STAR).
