Early trade saw China wind-equipment shares rebound; Tianshun Wind Energy, which
hit the down-limit yesterday, surged to the up-limit. By midday Zhenhong, Weili
Transmission and Shuangyi Technology were up more than 10%; Taisun Wind Energy,
Xinqianglian and Tianneng Heavy Industry also advanced. Market chatter said the
European Commission had opened anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into
wind-turbine towers and key structural components originating in China. Several
listed wind firms denied the report and company staff said they had received no
notice. Dajin Heavy Industry confirmed the investigation reports were false and
said operations are normal.
