Oct 12 — The inaugural Asia‑Pacific Geosciences and Remote Sensing Conference
opened in Qingdao, China. Academician Guo Huadong and other experts delivered
keynote and invited talks on frontier remote sensing science, Digital Earth,
urban and environmental remote sensing, microwave and SAR, Earth observation
systems and spatial information applications. The conference features 16
parallel sessions focused on remote‑sensing large models and AI, synthetic
aperture radar and microwave remote sensing, ocean, atmospheric and hydrological
remote sensing, land‑surface and ecological environment monitoring, disaster
monitoring, cryosphere and polar remote sensing, urban remote sensing,
remote‑sensing big data and cloud computing platforms, and applications for the
UN Sustainable Development Goals.
