An Emirates Airbus A350-900 operating EK441 from Adelaide to Dubai was forced to return to Adelaide after a mechanical fault, landing in the early hours of the 13th local time. The aircraft departed Adelaide on the evening of the 12th and turned back before reaching Western Australia. An Adelaide airport spokesman said passengers were sent home or accommodated in hotels and rebooked on an evening flight on the 13th.
