Oct. 13 — Dalian Commodity Exchange deputy GM Wang Yufei said DCE has tightened
delivery standards and adjusted premiums/discounts to raise futures
representativeness. DCE lowered the iron‑ore futures benchmark grade from 62% to
61% to match shifts in mainstream ore quality and spot pricing needs; domestic
and international spot indices subsequently adjusted and spot‑futures pricing
benchmarks have converged, with port spot trades routinely referencing futures.
For coking coal, futures prices are now included in the floating‑value
calculation of long‑term coal‑steel linkage contracts and are being used as
pricing references by some major coal producers, making futures a visible,
trusted indicator for upstream and downstream firms.
