On Oct 13 local time, Bulgaria's Prime Minister Radev said two merchant vessels
were struck by drones off the Bulgarian Black Sea coast; one vessel sank. A
freighter about 18 nautical miles east of Byala was hit by three drones; all 15
crew were rescued. Another merchant ship was struck near Krapets and sank; one
crew member was rescued. Radev said there is no clear evidence identifying the
attacker. He said he will speak with NATO Secretary General Rutte and summon
Russia’s ambassador to Bulgaria over the incident.
