The U.S. embassy in Riyadh said a U.S. citizen was detained in Saudi Arabia for
filming recent incidents. Saudi Arabia has been hit by multiple deadly attacks
by Yemen’s Houthi forces. The U.S. mission did not disclose the number detained
or whether they have been released. It said Saudi authorities warned that
“filming, posting or sharing information related to intercepted missiles and
drones and their impact points will expose individuals to legal liability.”
Saudi Arabia has opened an investigation into failed intercepts of Houthi air
attacks.
