Blackstone president Jon Gray said France, the U.K. and continental Europe face more urgent fiscal pressure than the United States because U.S. growth is being supported by technology investment and an AI boom. He warned the U.S. will eventually face hard choices but currently some European economies have much lower growth and large fiscal deficits; historically fiscal crises are resolved only when market pressure forces government action. Gray said AI-driven investment is temporarily easing U.S. debt pressures by boosting growth.
