Six people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday that Houthi forces launched
a missile strike that hit ARAMCO’s headquarters in Dhahran in eastern Saudi
Arabia, causing a partial fire. One source said the blaze was later
extinguished. The extent of damage is unclear and it is not yet known whether
the fire was caused by intercepted debris. The Saudi-led coalition conducting
operations in Yemen said Houthi missiles struck multiple Saudi cities including
Riyadh and Dhahran, and that debris from intercepts fell into a residential area
in Dhahran. Dhahran, on Saudi Arabia’s Persian Gulf coast, is at the center of
the country’s oil industry.
