He added Greenland offers unmatched strategic value for US and European defense, arguing any attack on the United States would transit Greenland and that US air defenses there would routinely intercept drones, missiles and other weapons—providing time, positioning and surveillance advantages.

Market turmoil after the conflict involving Iran has pushed broker-mediated trades in the European repo market to 16.2% of outstanding repos as of June, the highest level since 2012, ICMA's semiannual survey of banks and institutions shows. OpenAI said it found a sophisticated recording device in its office. A staffer placed the device several days earlier and has been fired. There are currently no signs the employee improperly accessed or exfiltrated model weights, source code or customer data. The company has referred the matter to the FBI.
