India Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday at an economic forum in
New Delhi that bilateral ties with the United States remain "very good" despite
ongoing trade tensions and Donald Trump’s earlier claim that he helped mediate
an India‑Pakistan armed clash, which drew New Delhi’s displeasure. When asked
whether relations would improve under a different US administration, he said he
does not see any problem and called the relationship very deep with major global
impact.
