Hong Kong stocks opened lower, slipped further and partially recovered in the afternoon; the Hang Seng Index closed down 1.03% and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 2.72%. Optical-communications names plunged: Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (06869.HK) fell over 13%, Huiju Technology (01729.HK) dropped more than 8%. Chip stocks weakened, with Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) down over 13%. PCB, power-equipment, logistics, liquid-cooling and commercial-aerospace sectors were among the top decliners. New listing Transsion Holdings (02636.HK) fell over 5% on its first trading day.
