Japan's economic and fiscal minister KIUCHI said expansionary fiscal policy is not aimed at expanding unnecessary spending.

Anthropic told investors Q3 revenue rose to $16.8bn, up nearly 50% from $11.5bn in Q2. The company said it was profitable on an adjusted basis for the quarter and generated positive cash flow. It identified chips and data-center costs as its largest expenses. The Claude model developer is seeking investor support ahead of a planned IPO widely expected to rank among the largest valuations on record.
