On Oct. 15 the IMF said in its latest Asia-Pacific outlook that it now expects
the region to grow 4.8% in 2026, up from a 4.4% forecast in April. The report
flagged energy shocks from the Middle East conflict as a drag but cited strong
demand for AI-related technologies and resilient intra-Asian trade as support
for the outlook.
