South Korea's KOSPI rose 113.83 points, or 2.05%, to 5,668.05 on Friday, ending
a seven-session losing streak as dip buyers stepped in after the index hit a
six-month low. The market plunged nearly 8% on Thursday after US inflation data
surprised to the upside and sparked a tech sell-off. KOSPI still fell 14.5% for
the week, its largest weekly decline since October 2008, as investors question
the sustainability of the AI investment rally.
