Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA (NVDA.O) expand their strategic collaboration on autonomous driving.

Oct 16 — HKEX said China government bonds will be accepted as eligible non-cash collateral for margin at Hong Kong Futures Settlement Limited and the HKEX Options Clearing House from Nov. 2, 2026, after rule amendments were approved by the Securities and Futures Commission. Eligible instruments include Ministry of Finance bonds issued mainly to international investors and Bond Connect bonds traded on the China interbank bond market issued by the Ministry of Finance or policy banks.

CNBC reported NVIDIA and Cisco confirmed donations of multiple mln dollars to a renovation of a Trump White House banquet hall. NVIDIA said the contributions reflect support for the U.S. and were independent of commercial interests. The Washington Post reported Amazon, Palantir, ServiceNow, Meta and Microsoft also gave multi-mln sums; Cisco and ServiceNow each confirmed $5 mln and NVIDIA and Apple each committed $25 mln, the largest reported donations. Gifts were routed through a nonprofit trust and donors received a pledge form naming the Donald J. Trump Banquet Hall. U.S. lawmakers and outside experts have demanded disclosure of private donors and some warned the donations could potentially affect policy decisions or federal contract awards.
