White House press secretary Katie Zakaria was dismissed after five days on the
job, the Los Angeles Times reported, shorter than Anthony Scaramucci’s 11-day
tenure as communications director. On Friday, Trump said Zakaria might continue
to work for him "in some form"—"possibly a more pleasant form"—and said she
"didn't have to do the job," comments he later expanded on that added to
confusion about her role.
