Israeli security forces arrested 10 suspects in the early hours of Monday in
connection with weekend violence in the West Bank, including an attack on
Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine. Videos circulating online show
several EU diplomats near the village of Taybeh were also assaulted. The
operation, codenamed Olive Leaf, was carried out jointly by the Israel Security
Agency (Shin Bet), border police and the Israel Defense Forces. The US
ambassador to Israel called for an investigation, arrests and the harshest legal
penalties for those involved in the attack on Levine.
