Iranian foreign minister Araghchi condemned President Macron after Macron blamed
rising living costs on the current war, saying France's protests 'represent the
country's future'. Araghchi published a clip of Macron's speech and a January
message Macron sent to Trump saying 'we can do a lot on Iran', and accused
Macron of assuring the US president he 'welcomed violence against Iranians',
calling that 'digging his own grave'. He added it is too late to blame the war —
which he said Macron and his allies have stoked — for higher living costs and
urged Macron to 'listen to France's future'.
