On Oct. 19 CSRC chairman Wu Qing gave the keynote at the 2026 Financial Street
Forum. Wanlian Securities chief economist Long Hongliang said the speech set out
systematic steps on market-stabilization mechanisms, attracting long-term funds,
support for tech innovation and investor protection, signaling a pro-reform
policy stance. Long said China’s capital market is pursuing sustained reform to
strengthen resilience, broaden value-creation channels and marshal more
financial resources for high-quality growth. He highlighted the call to "further
improve capital market functions coordinating investment and financing," saying
it signals tighter institutional alignment to better serve corporate financing
and deliver long-term investor returns, and that regulators are proactively
responding to complex conditions to bolster market resilience.
