At the 2026 Physical AI and World Model conference, Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said
world models are accelerating an 'autonomous‑driving Moore's law,' describing a
trend of tenfold improvements in safety and performance every two years. He said
the pattern also applies to large models and AI, and predicted top firms could
achieve tenfold annual gains in safety and performance from 2026–28. Cao
identified world models, data scaling and model scaling as the primary drivers
toward an L4 commercialization inflection in 2028.
