Israel will hold a national election on Oct. 27. The New York Times reports
thousands of Israelis living in the US plan to fly home to vote. Jewish Policy
Research (London) estimates about 630,000 Israeli citizens live abroad, roughly
6% of the population. A US group called the US‑Israel Democracy Alliance is
organizing logistics and charter flights and said last week it expects more than
50,000 returnees. In a tightly contested race, these voters could be decisive.
