Al Arabiya TV cites sources familiar with mediation saying Qatar and Pakistan have proposed a compromise that seeks to accommodate demands from both the US and Iran.

Iranian parliament speaker Ghalibaf met Pakistan army chief Asim Munir and said Iran's deep distrust of the US remains; only implementation of the seven conditions Tehran presented in New York would restore trust. He accused the Trump administration of breaching a memorandum of understanding with Islamabad, warned that threats or military action cannot change Iran's strategic decisions, and said Iran is not bellicose but is prepared to defend its sovereignty and national dignity. Ghalibaf thanked Pakistan for support during the conflict and negotiations. Munir said the Iran-Pakistan border will reopen with immediate effect.

Baltic Dry Index rose 47 points (1.85%) to 2,593 on Tuesday, buoyed by stronger Capesize freight rates. The Capesize index (BCI) jumped 157 points (4.67%) to 3,522; Capesize average daily earnings rose $1,427 to $28,442. The Panamax index (BPI) fell 39 points (1.71%) to 2,247, with Panamax daily earnings down $350 to $20,223. The Supramax index (BSI) was unchanged at 1,868.
