Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Administration said on the 20th it has placed 122
vessels on a violations list for passage through the Strait of Hormuz. The
agency has taken action against more than 40 ships; 19 are negotiating to avoid
listing or to be removed, and two were removed after agreeing to comply with
obligations. Nearly 30 vessels have been warned and will be listed if they do
not undertake remedial measures; the administration said it will assist vessels
that proactively correct breaches. Vessels on the list violated Iran’s transit
rules and will face restrictions on future passage.
