Financial Times: NETANYAHU is pressing to restart large-scale strikes on Iran
and has ordered the ISRAELI MILITARY to draft new multi-day attack plans. A
previously prepared bombing package, reportedly aimed at power plants, nuclear
sites and regime-linked targets and timed for the weekend of Oct. 10, was not
executed; sources say Trump opposed renewed hostilities before the U.S. midterms
on Nov. 3. Insiders say the planned strikes would have been stronger than the
Feb U.S.-Israeli action. Israel has submitted an updated target list to
Washington that includes civilian infrastructure identified by new intelligence.
WHITE HOUSE deputy press secretary Anna Kelly said Iran is 'in very bad shape'
economically and militarily, that U.S. efforts to block Iranian ports and
re-route Gulf oil via the strait are working, and that the U.S. will not strike
Iran before the midterms. Restarted Israeli action in the coming weeks has not
been ruled out.
