Shenzhen Beike Research Institute said on Oct 21 Shenzhen’s resale housing market remained active. Jan–Sep resale transactions totaled 53,131 units, up 4.4% YoY. Policy measures have supported an orderly release of first‑time buyer, upgrade and school‑district demand, driving a steady increase in resale volumes. Large‑scale developments accounted for a disproportionately high share of transactions.

Ship-tracking data show India's September crude imports from the Middle East rose sharply to pre-war levels. Amid increased competition, Indian refiners reduced purchases of Russian crude. As Middle Eastern producers and traders boosted shipments via the Strait of Hormuz, refiners rushed into the spot market, easing supply tightness that had followed Iran-related conflict.
