Oct. 22 — At a routine press briefing, CHINA was asked about the Philippines' reported moves to deepen cooperation with Taiwan on undersea cable protection and to address so‑called grey‑zone activity, noting Manila still asserts adherence to the One‑China policy. CHINA replied there is no grey area on the Taiwan issue, urged the Philippines to honour the One‑China principle in practice, and said Taiwan's external exchanges must be handled strictly in accordance with that principle.
