Oct. 21, Beijing — China National Energy Administration deputy director Wang Jianbo met with Croatian Minister of Economy Ante Susnjar to exchange views on cooperation in key energy areas. Officials from the Chinese foreign ministry’s Europe Department and the NEA’s International and Nuclear Power departments attended.

The US State Department said reports that it planned to order evacuations of some Gulf embassy staff were inaccurate. An evacuation directive applies only to non-emergency US government employees and their families in Saudi Arabia. The statement cited increasing hostile actions by Houthi forces against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure that have caused civilian casualties and major travel disruption. The department said protecting the safety and security of its personnel and families remains a top priority and it will take all necessary measures to protect and support them.

Micron Technology CTO Scott DeBoer said the company has evaluated 4F² storage technology for more than 20 years and currently has no plans to adopt it. He described 4F² as more complex and costlier with limited practical advantages, and said Micron will continue its current roadmap and focus on next‑generation 3D DRAM development.
