Colombian government ordered 13.8 trillion pesos (COP) of spending cuts in the 2026 budget.

On Oct. 22 the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said effective 23:59 ET on Nov. 3 all passengers on international flights to the United States, regardless of origin, must sign a written or electronic declaration confirming they have not visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 21 days before departure. The measure is aimed at reducing the risk of Ebola importation. Certain travelers recently to Uganda or South Sudan will face entry restrictions; eligible US citizens must undergo public-health screening at designated US airports.
