Saudi Arabia is negotiating with foreign governments to allow state-owned ARAMCO access to their government-held strategic oil reserves to strengthen its ability to supply customers during disruptions, ARAMCO CEO Amin Nasser said. He added that commercial storage available via partners is limited and that the Saudi energy ministry is coordinating with counterparts to enable use of government strategic facilities. ARAMCO already holds commercial stocks in South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands and at Egypt’s Sidi Kerir export hub and is working to expand those overseas inventories, particularly in Asia. Nasser said the company aims to double its overseas storage capacity but gave no timeline or current capacity figures.

据伊朗塔斯尼姆通讯社报道，伊朗最高国家安全委员会秘书雷扎伊表示，也门胡塞武装并非伊朗的军事单位，也门领土相关事务由也门人自行决定。雷扎伊表示，胡塞武装占领穆哈港有其自身的战略考量。控制也门西部海岸将改变该国国内的军事力量平衡，并大幅增强胡塞武装对沙特阿拉伯的战略筹码及其进入红海的能力。雷扎伊强调，伊朗对自身在霍尔木兹海峡的决定负责，胡塞武装则对其在曼德海峡的决定负责。 伊朗目前并未宣布与也门方面共同决定全面关闭曼德海峡、禁止商业航运通行。
