Baker Hughes: U.S. energy firms held rig count unchanged for a second consecutive week.

On the 23rd local time, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy said two supertankers attempting to transit the southern Strait of Hormuz illegally struck mines. Explosions and fires disabled their engine rooms and left the vessels stranded; crews abandoned ship. The two tankers were carrying a combined total of over 4.5 mln barrels of crude and remain in the southern Strait of Hormuz.
