Italian police searched about 150 residences in Milan and other cities ahead of
Saturday afternoon protests, targeting several suspects — including 51 minors —
accused of planning disturbances. The demonstrations, organized by Movimento 17
October, are scheduled in Milan, Turin, Rome, Bologna, Naples and other towns
and focus on high living costs, school funding shortfalls and solidarity with
Palestine.
