China’s embassy in London said European industrial distress reflects domestic
structural issues — industrial hollowing, excessive financialization, weak R&D
and short‑term capital-driven offshoring — and that blaming Chinese exports
conceals policy failures. The embassy said China remains a core link in global
manufacturing supply chains, supplying large volumes of cost‑competitive,
quality industrial goods that lower consumer costs and ease inflationary
pressure. It added that deep integration between European high‑end equipment
makers and Chinese manufacturing has been complementary and mutually beneficial,
and that China’s manufacturing development supports global economic stability
and Western industry rather than undermining it.
